How to register.
We offer two convenient ways you can register for programs. One is through our online service, Connect to Rec and the other is in person.
Connect to Rec Registration:
Winter online registration starts December 10, 2017 at 9:00 am. You will need a Login ID, Account Pin, Course Information, Visa or MasterCard. Connect to Rec online registration is available 24 hours per day.
In Person Registration:
In person registration has different start times depending on what you are registering for. In person registration start dates are as follows:
Fitness programs:
December 11, 2017 at 7:00 am.
Leisure programs:
December 11, 2017 at9:00 am.
Aquatics Programs:
AquaFitand Water Therapy, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 am.

N.S.F. CHEQUES
A $40.00 fee will be charged for each N.S.F. cheque.
REFUNDS AND CREDITS
The Division reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient registration. In these cases a full refund/credit will be issued. Refunds/credits for any other reason are subject to approval and a 15% (minimum $5) administration fee. All refund requests must be made in writing.

The Parks, Recreation & Culture Division maintains two aquatic facilities year-round: the Lindsay Recreation Complex and the Forbert Memorial Pool in Bobcaygeon.
In the summer months, Aquatic Programming expands to include waterfront-swimming lessons. City Aquatics offers three levels of participation:
Participation at facility Public Swims year round and free beaches in the summer.
Direct programming of Red Cross & Lifesaving Society Swim Programs, Adult, Synchro and Diving for all ages and abilities.
Groups and individuals can rent pool time and offer kayaking, scuba, competitive swimming, Dragon Boat team practices and much more.

18 metres. 3 lanes.Stepped Ramp. Temperature maintained at approximately 28ºC/84ºF.
Public Swimming Fees:
Children (under 15 years), single $2.55, ten pass $22.95.
Adult (15 years plus), single $5.48, ten pass $49.32.
Senior (60 years plus), single $4.92, ten pass $44.24.
Family/Group, single $12.37, ten pass $111.36.
Family/Group rate applies to:
Any number of your own children with one or both parents/guardians or, any one or two adults with children to a total group size up to five persons.
Don’t want to take the swim test each time you visit the pool?
Children ages 7, 8 and 9, upon successful completion of the swim test, are eligible to pay $2.00 for a “Swim Test Passed” membership card. These children must present their “Green” wrist band on their arm to the front desk to show proof of eligibility. A “Swim Test Passed” membership will be issued where children can scan this membership at the front desk and present to Aquatics Staff to receive a Green band upon entry.
Children ages 10 to 14 who wish to swim in the deep end of the pool may acquire the same “Swim Test Passed” membership to be allowed in the deep end of the pool.
At anytime, the Aquatics staff can ask the child to re-take the swim test if they feel the child cannot demonstrate the ability to maintain the swim admission standard.
City of Kawartha Lakes General Pool Rules
No person having a communicable disease or open sores on his or her body shall enter the pool.
No person shall bring a glass container onto the deck or into the pool.
No person shall pollute the water in the pool in any manner, and spitting, spouting of water and blowing the nose in the pool or on the deck are prohibited.
No person shall engage in boisterous play in or about the pool.
Running is not permitted on the pool deck.
No diving in the shallow end or small pool.
Street clothes and shoes are not permitted on the pool deck.
Appropriate bathing attire must be worn.
Any patrons under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave.
Food or drink not permitted on deck. Water only please.
Emergency phone and First Aid Kit located on deck.
Please obey all instructions given by Lifeguards.
Clear the pool on 1 long whistle blast.
Additional Rules at each facility will be used based on swim type.

Fun swim:An active swim time, open to all ages with various toys and equipment available. No swimming lengths.
Adult swim:Provides an opportunity for those 15 years and older to relax, chat and complete their personal fitness program; these are quiet swims. Pool space includes areas for lane swimming and open swimming. Some equipment supplied for exercising and swimming.
