WILLODINE ETHRIDGE STOKES

Willodine Ethridge Stokes Mrs. Willodine Ethridge Stokes of Panama City, FL, formerly of Harrison Road, Dothan, died early Friday morning, April 23, 2010, in the SeabreezeHealthcareCenter in Panama City. She was 87. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010, in the KinseyBaptistChurch with Revs. Jack Wingate and Robert Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the KinseyCemetery. Holman-Head-land Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the sanctuary of the KinseyBaptistChurch. At other times, the family will be at the home of a sister, Nina Rabe, 430 Lynn Jarvis Road in Kinsey. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's ResourceCenter, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, AL36302. Mrs. Stokes was born and reared in Kinsey, AL, daughter of the late Charles Alonza Ethridge and Mattie Lou McArdle Ethridge. She moved to Harrison Road in Dothan in 1967. Mrs. Stokes retired from Ansell, Inc. in Dothan. She was a member of the KinseyBaptistChurch. Mrs. Stokes was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton Benovan Stokes and also two brothers, Orlan Ethridge and James Ethridge. Surviving relatives include three daughters, Sharlene Cox and husband, Don Cox, Crestview, FL, Patricia Matherly, Orlando, FL, Rose Redmon and husband, Kenny Redmond, Dothan; three sons, Andy Stokes, Newton, AL, Randy Stokes, Dothan, Tim Stokes and wife, Donna Stokes, Panama City, FL; ten grandchildren, Eddie Cox, Donna Bouton and husband, Paul Bouton, Michael Stokes, Amy Stokes, Emily Stokes, Addison Stokes, Jared Stokes, Colby Stokes, Crystal Taylor and husband, Kyle Taylor; and Jeremy Speller; four great-grandchildren; six sisters, Ava Reneau, Kinsey, AL, Charlie Nell Rogers, Pensacola, FL, Betty McNab, Niceville, FL, Doris Owens, Headland, Nina Rabe, Kinsey, AL, Myra Scruggs and husband, Kenneth Scruggs, Pensacola, FL; a brother, Monroe Ethridge and wife, Annice Ethridge, Headland, AL; sisters-in-law, Mary Ethel Ethridge and Faye Ethridge, both of Dothan.
