BUCK-A-BOOK Literacy Campaign is Underway! The Session has designated the Buck-a-Book Literacy Campaign as one of the charities that we supported with our 2014 mission funds. This program was the recipient of the offering received at the Children and Families Service on Christmas Eve. This literacy campaign raises funds for adult literacy programs while inspiring K-5 students in the Carlisle Area School District to read and get involved in the community. Buck-a-Book children read many books while gathering pledges of support for adult literacy. All money collected helps fund adult education programming provided to the community by the Employment Skills Center. During the first two weeks of 2015, we are gathering gently-used children’s books to give to children to encourage them to red. Please bring books to Fellowship Hall and place them in the boxes designated as “Buck-a-Book”.
