*OPENING HYMN O Worship the King (Verses 1-3) #73

Prayer to God
Call to Confession: Before the strength and glory of the living God our witness appears weak and uninspired. Before God’s power and majesty we can only bow to acknowledgment of our sin and unfaithfulness. Let us seek forgiveness from the Triune God.

Unison Prayer of Confession:

O God, who created us whole, we come in our brokenness to remember that we have been baptized. You have reclaimed us by water and the Holy Spirit’s fire, but we have wandered far from the inspiration you provide. We have lived as if there were no standards but our own self-interest. We have sought power by our own manipulations rather than accepted the strength you alone can provide. Refashion us in your image and empower us once more to follow Jesus as true disciples. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen

SHARING OF OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS

OFFERTORY INVITATION: All we possess comes from God’s hand. All that we share has been provided to us. We cannot give except as God has blessed us. Our offerings are first of all a response to God’s generosity. Let us glorify God through our gifts.
