LEADERSHIP SEMINAR: A leadership workshop will be held Saturday, January 20th, 9a-2p. We will be planning on how we can further implement our congregation’s vision. Get involved! You are invited to be a part of this. God has given you gifts to use to be a blessing to others. We would like as many from the congregation as possible to be involved. BAPTISM INVITATION: In Baptism, God makes promises to us that He brings forgiveness and salvation (1 Peter 3:21, Titus 3:5). This promise is for everyone, including our children (Acts 2:38-39). LUTHERAN WORLD RELEIF QUILTING GROUP: The LWR Quilting Group will resume meeting on Wednesday, January 24, at 10am to noon. Everyone is welcome to join and come when you can. This group makes quilts that are donated to Lutheran World Relief to help refugees and others who need assistance. What a great way to show Christ’s love.

MUSIC DIRECTOR POSITION: Following the decision of the Congregational Assembly, St. Lucas is searching for interested candidates for the newly formed Director of Music position. This part-time position at up to nineteen hours per week reflects one of St. Lucas’ key vision priorities on worship. Key responsibilities include worship planning and leadership responsibilities for both traditional and contemporary worship. The full job description and information on how to apply is found at

GOD CONNECTSis an online, video course that explains the basic teachings of the Christian faith. This class explores what the Bible says about our God, and how His love gives direction and meaning to your life today and forever. This class is designed for those who are interested in learning or reviewing the foundations of the Christian faith. Attendance at the class may lead to membership in our church, but there are no obligations. We will be forming a new class yet this winter. Contact the church office for more information. ATTENTION WORD OF LIFE ALUMNI AND FRIENDS: The Word of Life Alumni Association has recently been formed with the goal of reconnecting alumni and their families to their alma mater.Our mission is to foster and renew friendships while reconnecting alumni to the school and church families that gave us our roots.

Word of Life Trivia Night with Silent Auction will be held on February 24th at WOL in the main campus gym. Doors will open at 6:30 and trivia will begin at 7:00pm. It will be $20 per person with 8 people per team. Individual registrations are welcome as well. The cost will go up to $25 a person if paying at the door on the day of the event!!!Outside food and drinks are welcome. Adult beveragesallowed. Soda and water will be provided. YARN DONATIONS: A member of Hope Lutheran Church is making afghans for the homeless and those in need. If you have unwanted partial or full skeins of yarn, she would love to put them to good use.
