/ Student Support and Progress Team / August 8, 2016

This job aid will demonstrate the process for using the Student Support & Progress Team screens. This includes how to document student referrals and progress monitoring related to the Student Support and Progress Team (SSPT), as well as how to use the SSPT screens to document the tiered supports and interventions provided to referred students.

Why must i do this?

All schools are required to develop a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) that includes three tiers of research-based interventions and strategies for service delivery, a problem solving method, and an integrated data collection system that informs decisions at each tier of support. The Student Support and Progress Team (SSPT) procedures replace the existing functions of and procedural guidelines for the Coordination of Services Team (COST), Student Study Team (SST), and Language Appraisal Team (LAT). The SSPT process for individual students is recorded in MiSiS and remains part of the student record.

For further policy support please contact Annmarie Serrano, Intervention Coordinator at , Kirstin Summers, English Learner Program Specialist at r the Local District Intervention Coordinator. Please note that the previously entered SST records will no longer be available through MiSiS. If access to these records are needed, please contact the HelpDesk and Select Option 5,Submit a Support Request Online, or Chat Live with an Agent.
