Our guest speaker this year will focus on….
Where’s the Evidence?
Computers or other forms of Digital Equipment are now being seen in almost all investigations whether they be Criminal or Civil. Everyone knows to check the computer hard drive for evidence. This is only one of many places to examine for digital evidence and even the computer hard drive is getting more difficult to find the information you are seeking.
With the amount of information available it is even more important to know where to look for the evidence and how to obtain it in a format that will let you search it. Issues such as encryption, the cloud, mobile phones, etc. make the gathering of digital evidence more complex.
This presentation is going to look at where the information can be found, as well as the concerns you need to consider to obtain the evidence in a format that can be used in court if required.
