Minutes of December 15, 2011, Meeting

Social
· Thank you to Darlene Norton for hosting Santa and to Darlene and Tracey Conrad for organizing the event.
· Luminaries will light up Wheatfield on January 1. Please respond to the e-vite to sign up to help light up the neighborhood. Contact Julie Heleba () for more information. This is an HOA-sponsored event.
Charity
· Thirteen shoeboxes were provided to Operation Christmas Child. Thanks to those who filled them.
· A collection of non-perishable food (Italian theme) was made. WWA will be donating the basket of food, along with $300 worth of gift cards for Toys R Us and Target, to a local needy family with two children at Waterloo and one at Ellicott Mills Middle School. Everything will be delivered to the family on Monday, December 19.
· Please continue to collect and bring your pull tabs to all meetings through June for the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Baltimore.
Redistricting
· Once again, it’s time to get your red on. Please attend the council meeting (and bring your neighbors) on Monday, December 19, @ 7:30 p.m. at the George Howard Building.
· Volunteers are needed to distribute flyers throughout the community. Contact Debbie Bures-Walker ().
Honoring Heather
· Darlene Norton continues to organize the meal calendar for the family. Meals will be provided through mid February. She will talk to Scott to possibly continue beyond February for once or twice a week.
· Julie Heleba’s girlscout troop is organizing a quilt project for Heather’s children. If you would like to donate a patch, please contact Julie ().
Miscellaneous
· Margie Calloway is working hard on updating the phone list. You should receive the new list in the next few days.
· Tracey Collins is updating our Yahoo group. If you have not paid your dues, your name will be removed and you will no longer receive messages from the group.
