AVAILABLE OPTIONS + INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION TO RUN A PARALLEL SESSION AT DEMEC 2017:

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: Noon - Friday 9 December 2016

NOTIFICATION OF APPLICATION STATUS: Friday 24 February 2017

Please ensure you read the parallel session options given below before completing the submission form.

Symposia / Hot topics – allowing debate on issues of topical interest, including short presentations from different perspectives

Workshops on practical topics, allowing maximum interaction with presenters / Derived from invited submission papers distributed to the conference host organisations.

(Note: audience numbers in some breakout rooms in cabaret style may be limited to 20-40 participants depending on delegate choice at the time of registration)

Audience attendance:At the time of registering delegates will be asked to pre-register for one parallel session option from each session (Monday AM, Monday PM, Tuesday AM, Tuesday PM). This will enable us to ensure the correct sized rooms are allocated to each parallel session rather than first come, first served as in 2015.

Parallel session speaker registration:Registration for parallel session chairs and speakers will be at the published early bird rates. Travel and accommodation will not be covered by DEMEC 2017.

Audio visual provided:Screen, data projector, laptop, lectern, top table. No mics will be provided for rooms seating under 60.

Notes on next actions for session host(s)/chair(s): Once the final parallel sessionshave been approved and agreed, the session host(s)/chair(s) will be required to provide a 150 word summary of the collective session content which will appear on the website so delegates are better informed in order to choose which days to attend and which sessions to book.

The overall session host(s)/chair(s) will also be required to co-ordinate with all their session speakers and provide a final timed programme including details of each speaker (picture and short biography) which will form the parallel session information given on the website and in the programme book at the conference and allow us to crosscheck to ensure all speakers have registered.
