I.Basic Responsibilities

Serves as a strategic and hands-on partner with Credit Union management and staff to develop and implement strategies to align Human Resources-related initiatives with department, divisional, and organizational business and strategic goals.

II.Essential Functions

  1. Partners with management to understand and anticipate business needs related to Human Resources matters, to include employee relations, talent acquisition, and organizational design. Provides consultative support while also actively contributing to the work needed to accomplish these objectives.
  1. Assists managers in complying with applicable local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. Along with other Human Resources team members, serves as resource for staff and management on payroll, benefits, leave of absence, and policy questions.
  1. Supports the recruitment/talent acquisition by assisting with staffing models, internal talent development, and recruitment planning.
  1. Collaborates with other Human Resources team members to implement Human Resources initiatives, projects, and strategy. Provides continuous feedback on the effectiveness of these programs at the department level and provides solutions for any improvement needed.
  1. Partners with managers to develop workforce planning, productivity monitoring, and organization resdesign/optimization.
  1. Supports managers in developing and maintaining effective communication with staff about departmental, divisional, and organizational initiatives, goals, and objectives.
  1. Supports effective performance management by providing guidance and coaching to management, including employee relations.
  1. As needed, may assist with or conduct internal investigations.
  1. Prepare and evaluate program and cost analyses. Assists management in developing staffing budgets and measuring and managing labor costs.
  1. Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations.
  1. Follows policy and procedures related to SARs by reporting suspicious activity to the Compliance department. Responsible for ensuring all department personnel are trained and adhere to all BSA, AML, CIP and CDD policies and procedures.
  1. Responsible for exercising appropriate levels of due diligence, monitoring vendors and holding them accountable for their actions in relation to our contract and service agreements as described in our Vendor Management Program.
  1. Complete mandatory BSA/AML annual training via online web course.
  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

III.Education and Skills Required

  1. Education
  2. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field
  3. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
  4. Three or more years of experience as Business Partner or Generalist
  1. Skills
  2. Proficiency withMicrosoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  3. Experience in querying, reporting on, and formatting data into multiple formats
  4. Ability to maintain strict level of confidentiality and security in sensitive areas
  5. Ability to operate routine office equipment
  6. Flexibility and capacity to manage many responsibilities simultaneously
  7. Ability to exercise independent judgment
  8. Ability to organize projects, prioritize workflow and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately
  9. Ability to represent the credit union in a positive, professional manner in person, on the telephone, and in written correspondence
