What the Lord did for us

Psalm 103:1-5 (KJV)
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Psalms 103:3

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities;

  1. He Commenced Salvation.

  1. Forgiveness of all our

a)Iniquities/ not our mistakes

(1)Our ingrained perversity

(2)Our warped spirits

b)From the Penalty of Sin

(1)Satan stands ready to accuse the brethren.

(2)Satan tell tails on us to God

(a)Let me tell there secret lust

(b)Let me tell you what they that bad word they said

(3)Then Jesus steps out as our advocate

Raises his nailed pierced hands

Your talking about a child of God

All is forgiven/all is forgiven

Satan that means all there sins have been taken away and put some where else

The father has put them on Jesus God has buried them in the sea of forgetfulness

(4)Freedom from the Power of Sin.

  1. His Continual Salvation. [v.3b]

who healeth all thy diseases

  1. Deliverance from Sickness of our soul

a)Guilt fear doubt depression anger lust hate jealousy spite greed and many more

  1. Deliverance from Self

a)Many of theses will also cause physical death

  1. He Sustains Me [V. 4]

Psalms 103:4

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;

  1. His Sacrifice Is Remembered In My Heart [v.4a]
  2. The Lord came and paid your price evenafter wasted your life
  3. Our lives when all said and done will be like a fable being told

Psalms 90:9

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

  1. His Spirit shows remarkable compassion

[v.4b]

who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

  1. Crowns us not with love but loving kindness

  1. His mercy in more than mercy it tender mercies

(2)Delicate

(3)Compassionate

  1. He Satisfies Me[V. 5]

Psalms 103:5

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

  1. Temporal Blessings [v.5a]
  2. satisfied fill
  3. good things
  4. Spiritual Blessings [v.5b]
  5. Even when our youth leaves us we can be assured

a)The Lord will send a reviving spirit

b)make us serve and act young

  1. And for he children of God we look forward to that glorified body
