What maintained schools must publish on-line

Every maintained school must publish specific information on its website to comply with The School Information (England) (Amendment) Regulations (2016). Please check the following DFE link for updates https://www.gov.uk/guidance/what-maintained-schools-must-publish-online

If you are an academy or free school, you need to check your funding agreement to find out what you should publish on your website.

School contact details
Your school’s website must include the following contact information:
·  your school’s name
·  your school’s postal address
·  your school’s telephone number
·  the name of the member of staff who deals with queries from parents and other members of the public
Admission arrangements
You must do one of the following:
Foundation schools and voluntary-aided schools
If the school’s governing body decides your admissions, you must publish your school’s admission arrangements each year and keep them up for the whole school year.
You must explain:
·  how you’ll consider applications for every age group
·  what parents should do if they want to apply for their child to attend your school
·  your arrangements for selecting the pupils who apply
·  your ‘over-subscription criteria’ (how you offer places if there are more applicants than places)
·  how parents can find out about your school’s admission arrangements through your local authority
Community schools and voluntary-controlled schools
If the local authority decides your admissions, write that parents should contact the local authority to find out about your admission arrangements.
Ofsted reports
You must do one of the following:
·  publish a copy of your school’s most recent Ofsted report
·  publish a link to the webpage where users can find your school’s most recent Ofsted report
Exam and assessment results
Key Stage 2 (KS2) results
You must publish the following details from your school’s most recent KS2 results:
·  percentage of pupils who achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics
·  percentage of pupils who have achieved a high level of attainment in reading, writing and mathematics between key stage 1 (KS1) and KS2
·  average progress in reading, writing and mathematics
·  averaged scaled score in reading and mathematics
Key Stage 4 (KS4) results
You must publish the following details from your school’s most recent KS4 results:
·  progress 8 score
·  attainment 8 score
·  percentage of pupils achieving a good pass in English and mathematics
·  percentage of pupils achieving the English Baccalaureate (this means pupils who got a GCSE grade C or above in English, maths, 2 sciences, a language, and history or geography)
16 to 18 results
You must publish the following results
·  progress
·  attainment
·  English and mathematics progress
·  retention
·  destinations (the percentage of students who continue in education or training, or move on to employment at the end of 16 to 19 study)
Performance tables
You must include a link to the DfE school performance tables website.
Curriculum
You must publish the following information about your school’s curriculum:
·  the content of the curriculum your school follows in each academic year for every subject
·  the names of any phonics or reading schemes you are using in KS1
·  a list of the courses available to pupils at KS4, including GCSEs
·  how parents or other members of the public can find out more about the curriculum your school is following
Pupil premium
You must publish details of how your school spends its pupil premium funding and the effect this has had on the attainment of the pupils who attract the funding. You must include the following:
·  your pupil premium allocation for the current academic year
o  a summary of the main barriers to educational achievement faced by eligible pupils of the school
o  how the allocated spend will address the barriers and the reasons for the approach
o  how the school is to measure the impact and effect of its expenditure of the allocation
o  the date of the school’s next review of the pupil premium strategy
·  details of how you intend to spend your allocation
·  details of how you spent your previous academic year’s allocation and the impact of the expenditure on eligible and other pupils
The funding is allocated for each financial year, but the information you publish online should refer to the academic year, as this is how parents and the general public understand the school year.
As allocations will not be known for the latter part of the academic year (April to July), you should report on the funding up to the end of the financial year and update it when you have all the figures.
The Teaching Schools Council has published templates to support schools in presenting their pupil premium strategies. Use of the templates is voluntary.
PE and sport premium for primary schools
If your school receives PE and sport premium funding, you must publish details of how your school spends this funding and the effect it has had on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment.
You must include the following:
·  your PE and sport premium allocation for the current academic year
·  details of how you intend to spend your allocation
·  details of how you spent your previous academic year’s allocation
·  how it made a difference to the PE and sport participation and attainment of the pupils who attract the funding
Year 7 literacy and numeracy catch-up premium
If your school receives year 7 literacy and numeracy catch-up premium funding, you must publish details of how your school spends this funding and the effect this has had on the attainment of the pupils who attract it.
You must include the following:
·  your year 7 literacy and numeracy catch-up premium allocation for the current academic year
·  details of how you intend to spend your allocation
·  details of how you spent your previous academic year’s allocation
·  how it made a difference to the attainment of the pupils who attract the funding
Special educational needs (SEN) report
If your school is a maintained school, then your governing body must publish a report on the school’s policy for pupils with SEN.
The report must comply with:
·  section 69(2) of the Children and Families Act 2014
·  regulation 51 and schedule 1 of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014
The report must include details of:
·  your school’s admission arrangements for pupils with SEN or disabilities
·  the steps you have taken to prevent pupils with SEN from being treated less favourably than other pupils
·  access facilities for pupils with SEN
·  the accessibility plan your governing body has written in compliance with paragraph 3 of schedule 10 to the Equality Act 2010
Charging and Remissions policies
You must publish your school’s charging and remissions policies. The policies must include details of:
·  the activities or cases for which your school will charge pupils’ parents
·  the circumstances where your school will make an exception on a payment you would normally expect to receive under your charging policy
Behaviour policy
You should publish details of your school’s behaviour policy.
The policy must comply with section 89 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006.
Complaints policy
You should publish details of your school’s complaints policy.
The policy must comply with section 89 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006.

Child Protection policy and procedures
The policy must make reference to the Statutory Framework and key statutory and non-statutory guidance:
·  Working Together to Safeguard Children (2015)
·  Keeping Children Safe in Education (2015)
·  What to do if you think a child is being abused (2015)
·  Information Sharing (2015)
·  You must publish details of your school’s Child Protection policy.
Values and ethos
·  Your website should include a statement of your school’s ethos and values.
·  You could include a statement about how British Values are developed
Governance
The up-to-date information you should publish for your governance arrangements in a readily accessible form* (nb *readily accessible means that the information should be on a webpage without the need to download or open a separate document). This should include:
a)  The structure and remit of the governing body and any committees
b)  For each governor who has served at any point over the past 12 months the following:
·  Their full name
·  Their date of appointment
·  Their term of office
·  The date they stepped down (where applicable)
·  Which body appoints them
·  Their category of governor
·  Their attendance record at governing body and committee meetings over the last academic year
·  the names of any committees the governor serves on
·  details of any positions of responsibility such as chair or vice-chair of the governing body or a committee of the governing body.
·  Governing bodies should also publish this information for associate members, making clear whether they have voting rights on any of the committees they serve on.
·  Relevant business and pecuniary interests of governors
·  Details of any other educational establishments they govern
·  Relationships between governors and members of the school staff including spouses, partners and relatives
Governing bodies should make it clear in their code of conduct that this information will be published on their governors and any associate members. Any governor failing to provide information to enable the governing body to fulfil their responsibilities may be in breach of the code of conduct and as a result be bringing the governing body into disrepute. Requests for copies
·  If a parent requests a paper copy of the information on your school’s website, you must provide this free of charge.
