The Club’s Fixtures
Branston Short Mat Bowling Club hosts occasional informal competitions with local clubs, and this is followed by return matches away from home. The club also enters teams in an annual Championship Competition which is organised by West Lindsay and held at Gainsborough.
Bowling conditions
The club possesses 3 mats, and with all 3 in use up to 24 people can enjoy playing at the same time.
All players are required to assist if possible with the laying out of equipment and stowing it away at the end of a session.
Club’s History
The club was established just over nineteen years ago by a small band of villagers who were keen bowls players who wished to provide a Short Mat Bowling facility in Branston. Today the club is well supported and continues to flourish. Furthermore, it has recently received some grant aid from Sport England and purchased a full range of new equipment.
