What does the Bible say about the difference between the Lake of Fire and Hell.
To Answer that question, lets take a look at what the Bible says about both.
First let’s look at the Lake of Fire
The lake of fire
Rev 19:20 KJV - And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Rev 20:10 KJV - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev 20:14 KJV - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 KJV - And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Rev 21:8 KJV - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
There are two question I would like to answer.
First, Where will the Lake of Fire be located?
Some scholars believe it will be somewhere on the surface of the earth.
Some say it will be at the location of the ancient city of Babylon.
Which would be Iraq.
We don’t really know exactly where it will be, but according the fact that the beast, false prophet and the devil himself will be cast into the lake of fire, being located on the surface of the earth makes sense. It’s like the earth opens up and the lake is revealed.
Some kind of lake that erupts with molten lava and brimston.
A second question I would like to answer is, Who will be cast into this lake-
The answer is satin, the antichrist, the false prophet,
whosoever name in not in the lambs book of life.
Those riddled with fear, Unbelieving, Abominable, Murders,
Whoremongers, Sorcerers, Idolaters and Liars
Now let’s look at
Hell
Mat 5:29 KJV - And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mar 9:43 KJV - And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Luk 16:23 KJV - And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
2Pe 2:4 KJV - For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
2Pe 2:5 KJV - And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
2Pe 2:6 KJV - And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
2Pe 2:7 KJV - And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
2Pe 2:8 KJV - (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed [his] righteous soul from day to day with [their] unlawful deeds;)
2Pe 2:9 KJV - The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
The location of Hell is under our feet, down. It is described as a fire that is never quenched, chains of darkness, torment and punishment is the activity of Hell.
There are basically three words used in the Bible for Hell.
Sheol-meaning the place of the dead or the grave.”
Hades- this word is used in description of the world beyond the grave, Or the realm of the dead, The abyssos or the bottomless pit; a prison evil spirits.
Gehenna It says in Mark 9:43-44 “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell(Gehenna), into the fire that never shall be quenched Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
The Word Gehenna is referring to the Valley of Hinnom. At this place outside the walls of Jerusalem, garbage and waste was dumped there and burned. The fires never were quenched and the smoke was always smoldering. What a great visual picture this place provided for what hell is like.
Mat 25:41 KJV - Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Notice that Hell is a place prepared for the devil and his angels, not for man. Men only go to this place prepared for the devil and his angels if they reject God’s salvation and condemn themselves.
So we have talked about the Lake of Fire
We have talked about Sheol, Hades and Gehenna the three words used for Hell.
I believe we are talking about the same place. Whether we call it the lake of fire, Shoel, Hades, Gehenna or hell, it’s all the same place.
If you think about the word Sheol- a lost person who dies and is in the grave will actually be in Hell.
If you think about the word Hades- the realm of the dead, place of for demons. The bottomless pit, the abyss-it’s speaking of Hell.
If you think about the word Gehenna- A place outside Jerusalem where they burned trash. It was always burning.
The Bible is referring to the same place.
I believe that Hell is under our feet, in the earth. And then at some point in time the ground will break apart and reveal Hell and that will be called the lake of fire.
We need to get everyone we can to avoid spending eternity in the place called hell. Let’s develop an urgency to reach those who are lost, before It’s to late!
What does the Bible say about the antichrist
Who is He?
Through out history people have identified individuals as the antichrist.
Like
Joseph Stalin
Adolph Hitler
Mikhail Gorbachev
Ronald Reagan
Every pope through out History
We are not seeking in this study to identify anindividual man as the antichrist.
We will not be predicting when he will be born or when he will arise on the scene.
The name antichrist
1Jo 2:18 - Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1Jo 2:22 KJV - Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jo 4:3 KJV - And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2Jo 1:7 KJV - For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
John is the only one to use the name antichrist
We know that there will be many False teachers or AntiChrists that will appear, even Jesus told us that. But we are talking about something different. But in the last days there will be only one great antichrist that will rise to power.
Let’s look at some of the names given to this antichrist in the Bible.
son of perdition “Man of Sin” 2 Thessalonians 2:3-11
2Th 2:1 KJV - Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2 KJV - That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 KJV - Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 KJV - Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:5 KJV - Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2Th 2:6 KJV - And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2Th 2:7 KJV - For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way.
2Th 2:8 KJV - And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 KJV - [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 KJV - And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 KJV - And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 KJV - That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
the beast
Rev 13:5 KJV - And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months.
Rev 13:6 KJV - And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7 KJV - And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Rev 13:8 KJV - And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. A Little Horn Daniel's 7, 8 and 11.
Daniel 7:24-25 this little horn is a ruler or king, and speaks, of the antichrist.
Dan 7:24 KJV - And the ten horns out of this kingdom [are] ten kings [that] shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. Dan 7:25 KJV - And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
In Ezekiel 38-39 is a good place to read about the antichrist.
Here are a few things that we know about the antichrist.
This Antichrist will be very popular around the world. He will be a terrific speaker
And a very unique leader who will lead the world to peace for three and half years.
He will somehow bring peace to the middle east and to Israel, and he will help to get the new Jewish Temple built in Jerusalem. His power will come from Satan, because he will be the fleshly manifestation of Satin, in a perverse likeness to the word made flesh.
He will blaspheme God in the newly built Temple and proclaim himself as the messiah.
Apparently he will receive a fatal wound, that will miraculously be healed. And as a result, some scholars believe that folks will think that he was resurrected from the dead.
Rev 13:3 KJV - And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
The antichrist himself will do miracles (real miracles)
He will give everyone a mark of some kind on their forehead and or on their wrist. Only folks who receive the mark will be able to conduct business, like Buying, selling and trading, etc. He will lead the world-wide police force to basically murder millions of people and many who will be Jewish. He will be instrumental in the battle of Armageddon.
Have you ever heard of Joel Rosenberg? He is a christian fiction writer. His books are based on the word of God. In an interview on April 25, 2008, he told Glenn Beck of CNN that the antichrist will be "somebody who understands the economy and the global sphere and wins people, he will have a winsome character."
Just as God is a triune God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit)
So Satan has His trinity.

Revelation chapter 12 describes this the Satanic Trinity
First is the dragon Rev 12:4 KJV - And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Then there is the antichrist Rev 12:1 KJV - And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:Rev 12:2 KJV - And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.Rev 12:3 KJV - And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.Rev 12:5 KJV - And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and [to] his throne.Rev 12:6 KJV - And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days.Rev 12:7 KJV - And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Rev 12:8 KJV - And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Rev 12:9 KJV - And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 12:10 KJV - And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
And lastly the false prophet
Rev 12:11 KJV - And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 KJV - Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Rev 12:13 KJV - And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man [child].
Rev 12:14 KJV - And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Rev 12:15 KJV - And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Rev 12:16 KJV - And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
Rev 12:17 KJV - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Some Scholars think that the Anti Christ will be Born of a Virgin
