Ezekiel 16 INFIDELITY

Revelation 2I know .. you are so jealous for truth.. and you have perseverance… and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary.. ‘But I have this against you, …that you have left your first love—, ‘Therefore—remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.

Ezekiel 15 Why did God choose Israel?

Why did God choose you?

John 15:16“You did not choose Me but I chose youand appointed you that you would go and bear fruit

Is it wrong for Him to require fidelity?

How Does God Expect Us to Respond to His Love?

  • Fear God. Deuteronomy 6:1-15. “Now this is the commandment, the statutes and the judgments which the Lord your God has commanded me to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you are going over to possess it, so that you and your son and your grandson might fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.
  • Love God.Deuteronomy 6:5 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
  • Do Not Forget the Lord God. Deuteronomy 6:12 when you get in the land-- do not forget the Lordyour God.

Israel Forgets God—Have We?

God NO LONGER Center of Life—NOT Faithful

What is an IDOL?

Anything that causes you to compromise about God in any way—according to Who He is and what He commands -- career, ministry, reputation; money.

whatever you have to have besides God to be happy-- the perfect marriage. the perfect child. the perfect grandchildren. a job. a house of a certain category. sports. your namein the bulletin at church!

WHAT has replaced God in your life? Discover it and destroy it.

Are you TRULY His disciple? Luke 14:25.“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.. “Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. He says, “… sit down and calculate the cost... “So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

Is HE Preeminent? Is HE on the Throne of your life?

Ps. 16:5, Ps. 119:57 or Lam 3:24:The Lord is my portion.

YOU are my life.

I exist because of YOU.

I am truly loved because YOU love me and always will.

Today has purpose.

I will take all that YOU have given me and use it for YOUR glory and not mine.

That’s fidelity.
