Visit to Ely Cathedral and Oliver Cromwell’s House
As part of our topic ‘Our Local Area’ we are running a school trip to Ely on Thursday 15th March. The children will be undertaking a guided visit of Oliver Cromwell’s House and Ely Cathedral. We will be leaving school at approximately 9:00 am and will return by 3.20pm. The children will need to take with them a packed lunch and a drink. If your child is eligible for free school meals, please complete the section below so that Maxine is aware of who requires a school-made, packed lunch. All children will need to wear normal school uniform and a coat as we will be walking between the two venues.
To help cover the cost of this trip, we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £15.30. Please make your payment through School Gateway by Wednesday 28th February. If not enough contributions are made it may not be possible for the trip to go ahead. (If your child is in receipt of free school meals, the cost of this visit is covered).
In order to run the trip we require parents/ carers who are willing to accompany us for the day. If you are available to help please indicate on the slip below and we will contact you directly.
If your child has any allergies, medical conditions or medication relevant to this type of visit, please can you inform your child’s Class Teacher, as an additional form will need to be completed.

* The 1988 Education Act now requires us to ask you to contribute voluntarily to the cost of the visit, rather than charge you directly for it. All children will be treated equally regardless of whether you have made a voluntary contribution or not. However, in the exceptional circumstances of insufficient contributions being made, the school reserves the right to cancel the proposed visit and refund any contributions already received.
