Purpose:
The Weller Scholarship Fund has been established to assist one individual each year with college education expenses.
Criteria:
Applicants must:
· Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application
· Be a graduating senior of Vinton County, Ohio and enrolled (or enroll no later than fall of 2017) in any college
· ....OR....
· Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2017) at the University of Rio Grande and a graduate of Vinton County High School
· Be able to demonstrate entrepreneurial activities from current, past or desires of the future
· Submit a written response (500 words or less) for the question:
“Why you feel you deserve the Weller Scholarship”
Creativity counts. Feel free to leverage pictures, podcasts, web pages or video as desired.
Application Deadline:
April 30, 2017 at 11:59 pm EDT
Scholarship Amount:
The amount for 2017 will be $500.
Returning students must reapply each year for consideration of continuance. This scholarship is awarded as funds are available. All donations will be continually invested and the amount of the scholarship payout will increase over time.
Other Notes:
Scholarship applicants must complete this process for consideration for the Weller Scholarship Fund.
