FWHS & FLHS COLLEGE ADMISSIONS PANEL
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2018
6:30 P.M. FAIRFIELD WARDE AUDITORIUM
A panel of six experienced college admissions officers will discuss how various colleges go about the process of selecting their students for admission to their schools. Each will give a ten minute overview of their institution and discuss how they review applications, the criteria they believe are important, and how they make their final selections to build a class each year.
The six schools represent a very diverse group of colleges. The presenters have experiences at a number of colleges and varied backgrounds. Their comments—while specific to their individual schools—will also give parents and students an insight into admissions at similar schools and the entire application and admissions process.
After their presentations, admissions officers will answer questions from parents and students.
OUR PANEL:
Chloe Sigillito – Fordham University
Bill Chagnon – Norwalk Community College
Kim Bornstein – University of Connecticut
Milena Carrese – Marist College
Alexa Oberle – Sacred Heart University
Ann Fleming Brown – Union College
Jarrett Saunders – University of Massachusetts Amherst
The evening will be informative and valuable for juniors and their parents, as well as underclassmen and their parents: it is never too early to start thinking about post high school plans. Please join us!
LOST & FOUND
Lost and found items will be on display in the hallway by the Main Office during winter break. Please come and claim your lost items.
PTA RELECTIONS CONTEST
The PTA Reflections Contest is underway. Entries will be due during the first week of January. Students should submit their entries directly to Mrs. Scatenato in Room P11 (this is a change from prior years). This is a contest that asks students to envision and create works (art, music, literary, film, dance) based on a single theme. This year’s theme is “Within reach”. Fairfield Warde has had many students place and win awards in this contest over the years. Any questions? Contact Mrs. Scatenato at .
HOMEWORK HELP
Starting Wednesday, October 25th, the Homework Help program will return. The program will run from 2:15pm-3:45pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays in the Academic Center in the Learning Commons. Students can receive extra help or support, or just access a quiet environment for work completion.

We are charging admission at the following games this year:
