Zaporizhzhya is one of the best cities in Ukraine. The city is situated in the south of Ukraine. Its territory stretches for about 50 square kilometres. The city is divided into two parts by the river Dnieper. Firstly,it was a town of Alexandrovsk. But when the Dnieper HydroElectric Power Station the Dneproges was built here it was renamed. And since that time the Dneproges is one of the places of interest in our city. By the way there are many places of interest in Zaporizhzhya. There are the Historical Museum on the island Khortitsia and the Museum of Local Lore, ZaporizhskaSich, a historical place and a national park about Cossacks life, “Clock of lovers" on the boulevard Shevchenko, and the main street of the city the Sobornyi Avenue , which stretches for about 15 kilometres. There are some good cafes and restaurants in the sity. Many of them serve Ukrainian national food: borsch, pampushky, varenyky. So you will not be hungry.
And Zaporizhzhia is an important industrial center of Ukraine. Today Zaporizhzhia is an important industrial center of the region with heavy industry (particularly metallurgy), aluminiumand chemical industry. The company is Ukraine's only manufacturer of cold-rolled sheets, used in car manufacturing, as well as tinplates and polished stainless and alloyed steel. Zaporizhstal is located in the city of Zaporizhzhia, in a region with the highest per capita electricity output in Ukraine, close to raw material suppliers and steel consumers (pipe and machine building companies).
