Welcome to the Catago Judge the Rider Competition.
The Committee is very pleased to be able to offer a prize to the winner of this class, sponsored by Catago.
We are most grateful for the ongoing support of Pernille Hogg from Catago enabling us to present a successful competition.We ask that you in return support Catago whenever possible.
Thank you to the Lever family of Treehaven Equestrian Centre for the preparation of such wonderful venue for competitors andspectators.
We are also grateful for the contribution of the judges and volunteers who make this competition possible and good luck to allthe riders.
Judge the Rider
This year we have change the way this is to be judged. Each level will be determined by the judge at the time looking at the .3 test at each level. It’s purpose is to assess the performance ofthe rider while riding a dressage test. The rider’s seat, application of the aids, feeling and harmonious and sensitive influence of the horse are being judged.
Prize Schedule
• Sashes to sixth place Preliminary, Novice, Elementary, Medium and Advanced
• The winner of the Catago Judge the Rider Competition will receive a special Catago prize as well as place getters.
Competitors
Scratchings: Please notify Barbara Chapman on0407 538 146 either by leaving a message or sending an SMS message as soon as possible.
Presentations: Presentations will be un-mounted in full riding attire. Failure to attend will result in loss of prizes.
Neither the Berwick & District Dressage Club Inc., nor the EFA accept any liability for any accident, damage, injury to horses,owners, riders, attendants, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
Rules of the Competition
1. EFA Membership and Grading Cards must be presentedto the secretary.
2. Please report to Gear Check Marshall 20 minutes priorto starting time.
3. All classes will be conducted according to current EFArules.
4. Callers are permitted for all Official Classes.
5. The organiser reserves the right to re-time the draw ifnecessary.
6. In the event of a draw for 1st place in Judge the Riderclass, the Judges will be required to select an over all winner.
7. Competitors may be required to ride prior to their advertisedstarting times should scratchings occur.
8. If circumstances prevent you riding at the allocatedtime you will be required to withdraw.
9. Please present yourself PROMPTLY to the judges.
10. Judges have been requested to keep times allocated.
11. Approved AS/NZS 3838:1998 helmets must be wornby all riders at all times when mounted.
13. Prize winners not present at the presentations will forfeitall claim to prize money and or prizes.
TREEHAVEN EQUESTRIAN CLUB—
14. No horses are to be tied to trees or fences.
15. Floats and trucks are to be parked appropriately* toensure maximum parking.
16. Spectators must stay to designated* areas.
17. Spectators and competitors must not enter privatestables and other non hired areas.
18. Children must be strictly supervised by adults at alltimes.
19. No dogs allowed.
20. Horses must be ridden and or lunged in the designated*areas.
21. Horses must be led in the vehicle parking areas.
* Designated areas for spectators, riding and lunging will bedisplayed in the Treehaven Café. Truck and float parking diagramwill also be located in the Café for competitor and spectatorreference.
