Welcome to NorthviewSchool
Over the summer there have been so many renovations and special work completed at Northview School in order to make it a very kid friendly learning environment for our youngest students! Here are a few changes you will notice when you come to visit!
- Brand new Preschool playground equipment on the east side of the school
- A fence around our playground for the safety of our preschool children
- New swings
- The original playground equipment on the north end of the school has been “retrofitted” for the safety and interests of kindergarten and first grade students
- All new floor tile in all the classrooms and hallways
- All new ceilings in the hallways
- New coat racks in the kindergarten and first grade hallways
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU COME TO VISIT NORTHVIEW SCHOOLONAUGUST 28TH FROM 9:00 – NOON. THIS WILL BE A SPECIAL DISTRICT OPEN HOUSE WHERE YOU CAN VISIT ANY SCHOOL IN THE PERU ELEMENTARY DISTRICT. MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR CHILDREN TOO!
We Welcome the Bright Futures Preschool Classes to Northview
We will have at least 80 new preschool students attending school at Northview. We are excited to welcome our new preschool teachers to the Northview Staff. Mrs. Lindsay Ferrari from Spring Valley most recently taught in the Ottawa Elementary Preschool program. Also, Mrs. Lexy Rebholz will be a teacher in our preschool program. Mrs. Rebholz has taught preschool for three years in Earlville and Oswego. She lives in Oglesby. Both of these teachers come with experience teaching three, four, and five year olds in a public school preschool setting. I’m very excited to welcome them to PeruPublic School and they are very excited about this opportunity. Both Mrs. Ferrari and Mrs. Rebholz have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood from NorthernIllinoisUniversity. They will also work closely with our Developmental Preschool teacher, Mrs. Pangrcic, in order to make our preschool the best in the area!
