You are kindly requested to study thoroughly the Rules of Accommodation, which constitute an integral part of the Accommodation Place Agreement.

RULES OF ACCOMMODATION

1.‘Lazarski House’

Starting from the academic year the foreign Students of the first year studying at our University may be accommodated in very close neighborhood to the University Campus in the “Lazarski House”. The buildings enables a flexible accommodation for students in single, double, three and four-person rooms. There are bathrooms at the students’ disposal on all floors, moreover there are the kitchens with the dining-rooms and the washing machines.

2.PRINCIPLES OF ACCOMMODATION

The present Rules are valid for every place in “Lazarski House”. Any modifications of the present Rules require the written form and an announcement in public.

A student applying for accommodation is obliged to present the following documents:

  • Identification Document (ID)
  • Passport (foreigners only)

3.PAYMENT DATES

Payments are to be effected due to the Accommodation Agreement.

4.ACCOMMODATION DATES

The students are allowed to move into “Lazarski House” the day of the Agreement signing and after having effected the payments foreseen by the Agreement. The students staying in “Lazarski House” are obliged to move out at the latest the day following the accommodation period termination.

Students accommodated in “Lazarski House” for the whole academic year duration do not have to move out; they are not obliged to hand over the keys in periods in between the semesters.

5.HOUSE ADMINISTRATOR

“Lazarski House” has a House Administrator, a student of a senior study year, appointed by LAZARSKI UNIVERSITY. The House Administrator helps the Students feel more easily at home and is the first contact person in whatsoever problems. The House Administrator helps the Students and keeps watch of any disobedience of the Rules of Accommodation.

6.CHANGE OF ROOMS

Applications concerning the change of rooms will be considered in case of free rooms disposal. Nevertheless the Students can change rooms after submittal of their written requests to the Office of Lazarski Management room number 208, section D.

8.CONDITIONS OF USE “Lazarski House”

Having signed the Accommodation Agreement all the Students agree to obey the regulations and principles in the present Rules of Accommodation, which constitute an integral part of the Agreement and to obey the rules agreed upon by the housing society with the House Administrator.

In “Lazarski House” the Students are obliged to follow the work security and hygiene rules as well as the fire-fighting regulations and to report immediately any threats of this kind to the Office of Lazarski Management. Moreover any malfunctions in installations and equipment located in these areas, any technical breakdowns and property damages are to be reported immediately.

Cleanness and order. The Students are obliged to keep order in their rooms and in generally accessible places – halls, staircases, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, laundry and garden.

Common space. Common spaces are for common use. All the Students are requested to keep those places in order and use them in a way not hindering their use by other inhabitants.

Common spaces must not be blocked making their access more difficult for other users.

Kitchen. Electric devices such as water kettles, coffee machine etc. may only be used in proper places.

Silence. Commonly accepted co-inhabitant standards concerning night silence are to be obeyed. Night silence is obligatory from 10.00 p.m. till 6.00 a.m. The House Administrator has to accept the Students’ celebrations upon previous discussion with all the inhabitants.

Room usage. The rooms may only be used for Students’ accommodation purposes.

Keys. The Students pick up their keys at the Office of Lazarski Management after paying the deposit payment for possible damages. The moment the Accommodation Place Agreement will have been terminated the Student will be obliged to hand over the keys back to the Office of Lazarski Management. Should the key be lost one has to appear immediately at the Office of Lazarski Management in order to have the locks changed and to have the new keys supplied by the Office of Lazarski Management. The key change costs covers the Student. There is absolutely no permission to double the keys and to change the locks. Any problems concerning the locks and security measures should be reported to the Office of Lazarski Management.

Walls. The Students have the right to decorate their rooms, Common Spaces excluded. For this purpose it is permitted to use adhesive tapes and stickers. The usage of sharp and room surface damaging tools is prohibited. Students will be charged in case of substantial damage repairs.

Furniture. The Students can move furniture within the room. At the moment of the room handing over the furniture must be placed in its original positions. The Students will have to pay for lost or moved over furniture.

9.GUESTS

Guests have access to “Lazarski House” daily from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. without knowledge on behalf of the Office of Lazarski Management and the House Administrator , but upon co-inhabitants’ approval and due to the Rules of Accommodation. There is no consent to the stay of guests within night hours i.e. from 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. The guests are not allowed to possess room keys. The liability for all damages caused by the guest and for the breach of the present Rules lies on the inviting person.

10.LOSSES / THEFT / DAMAGES

The Office of Lazarski Management takes no responsibility for private property of the Students left in “Lazarski House”. The Students are wholly responsible for security and insurance of their objects, as well as for closing windows and doors should they be out of their rooms. The Students cover full material responsibility for damages caused in the room equipment and in generally accessible spaces. All damages resulting in improper room usage or common spaces, and in equipment located there covers the damaging person; in case of not revealing the perpetrator – all room / “Lazarski House” inhabitants are held responsible with solidarity.

11.ANIMALS

There is no permission to keep animals in “Lazarski House”.

12.LAUNDRY

The laundry is accessible for Students accommodated in “Lazarski House” from 7.00 a.m. till 10.00 p.m. The Office of Lazarski Management supplies the washing machines without responsibility concerning its usage. The Students are responsible for picking up their clothes quite effectively so to make the washing machine accessible to others.

13.FORBIDDEN OBJECTS

In “Lazarski House” it is strictly forbidden:

  • to possess and consume alcohol
  • to smoke cigarettes in rooms and in the building. For this purpose there is an appointed place – the garden, far from the windows so the smoke does not penetrate the rooms,
  • production, possession and distribution of drugs, possession of equipment adapted for drug production, possession of substances based for drug production,
  • to let people stay possessing, trading, accessing or persuading to use drugs,
  • to use propane-butane run electric cookers, water-heaters, electric heaters, toasters,
  • to run any registered business or trade activities,
  • to gamble,
  • to possess arms or any other hazardous objects e.g. explosives and knives (no kitchen knives included). Pepper spray may be kept according to the Polish Law.

14.ACCESS TO ROOMS

The Office of Lazarski Management is authorized to enter the area of “Lazarski House” and the rooms in order to check the status (conditions) of the rooms, for maintenance checking, in emergency to check the health, security, danger, threats or in situations justified for the Rules breach.

15.FINAL CHECKING

At the moment of accommodation termination there will take place a final surveillance checking of the rooms and furniture status by the Office of Lazarski Management, the House Administrator and the Student. The Students will be obliged to pay for damages bigger than usual usage of the room and furniture. It is the Student’s obligation to leave the room clean and in good order.

16 .PAYMENTS

Accommodation payments are to be effected in advance for the full semester. The payment is to be paid by bank transfer in favor of the account indicated in the Accommodation Agreement.

The payment prices for accommodation in “Lazarski House” are fixed according to the Price List. Having effected the first payment for accommodation all the Students allocated for accommodation in “Lazarski House” must pay a single deposit for possible damages according the Accommodation Agreement . The security deposit amount covers the key deposit. The security deposit reduced by the costs of possible damages caused by the Student will be refunded upon the time of the accommodation termination.

1
