Welcome to 2017 Camp Blue Sky Kindergarten,

Our study for this year’s camp is: “Picasso’s Paris” a great opportunity to introduce our little ones to “all things French” for one exciting week.

This year the kindergartener campers will experience many mediums of art such as watercolor painting, acrylic painting, drawing, and clay work in addition to story-telling and creative movement.

Please remember that this is an art camp and we will be working with paint – it will sometimes stain clothing permanently. Sending your camper in comfortable appropriate clothing as well as shoes that allow them to run and move safely will allow for happy campers and teachers!

The drop off and pick up point for your child’s class will be inside of the glass foyer of the Heckart Building (located to the east of the Stauffacher Building). Please note that this is a different location than the rest of the older CBS campers.

Our student counselors will be there to greet the kindergarteners along with toys and a play area available for your children to use 15 minutes prior to their class time each day. Please be prompt with your drop off and pick ups.

T-Shirts will be distributed on Monday. They may be worn any day of the week, but we are encouraging all campers to wear them on Friday. If your children chooses to dress up on Period Theme Hats and Team Color dress up day (Wednesday) that is great but certainly not mandatory. Whatever they wish is great!

If your camper has separation anxiety, please be encouraging; we have seen this before and find that in most cases they begin to relax and have fun just a few minutes after that separation is made

See you on July 31st

Sincerely,

Angela Richardson - Kindergarten Teacher
