Welcome Center Team Guidelines

Welcome to the Frontlines Welcome Center Team and thank you for serving the body! This manual is designed to prepare you for serving at the Welcome Center, answer any questions you may have as well as to communicate the heart behind Watermark policies. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Vision For Welcome Center:

  • Romans 15:7, “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
  • The Welcome Center Team exists to be a first impression of Jesus Christ as individuals are being welcomed into Watermark. Our hope is that Welcome Center volunteers would view themselves as much more than an individual simply saying “hello” and answering questions. Our prayer is that they would see themselves on Sundays, as well as throughout the week, the way God views them.
  • God calls all Christians to be His ministers of reconciliation so that we can demonstrate His relentless love to a world that either may not know it, or may simply need to be encouraged and reminded by it.
  • A Welcome Center volunteeris first and foremost a minister of the Gospel. As such, always be sensitive to the Holy Spirit spurring you to engage with someone. You are encouraged to leave your post if you are led to walk someone to show them where Children’s ministry is located, the sanctuary, a bathroom, coffee bar, etc.
  • Welcome to the Welcome Center Team. We pray that from a heart that overflows with the love of Christ you assist us in welcoming others to know our Savior.

  24. Attire
  25. As you know, attire at Watermark is pretty casual, but please remember that you are not only representing Watermark, but more importantly, Christ. Specifically to the ladies, Paul reminds us that the Lord calls us to be modest. I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness. I Timothy 2:9-10. Please be respectful of this command while you are serving.

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. I Peter 4:10 – 11

Please email any questions you have to .
