Welcome back from a very soggy spring break! I don’t know about you, but I’ve had more than enough rain! My spring break was very boring! I so wanted to do some things outdoors and I just couldn’t. Unfortunately, we have MORE rain in the forecast for the coming days. I am looking for some fun activities that my friends and I can do that are indoor activities. I’ve thought about bowling (Max Bowl right down the street sounds like a good idea) but I thought you guys might have some ideas of other places to go and other activities. I’ve thought about Main Event too, but I don’t know much about it. Do you have any recommendations for me? Where do you like to go when the weather is too nasty to be outside?

Have you ever heard of South by Southwest? Many people know it only as a music festival that takes place in Austin. SXSW is more than just a music festival though… it also covers technology, art, film and education. As a matter of fact, it was SXSW that helped launch Twitter to the success that it is today. It is over for this year, but I am including the link for you to check out. Don’t spend too much time browsing… but then come back and give me your thoughts… does this look like something you might want to attend one day? If so, which venue would interest you most? By the way, these tickets are really expensive from what I can see… be sure to check out the ticket prices and tell me what you think of the pricing!

Do you like to play board games or card games? Many years ago, before TV invaded our lives, people played cards games for entertainment. Bridge was especially popular. As a young person, I often played Spades, Crazy Eights, or War. Board games were fun too, until you lost the pieces! What about you? Do you like to play these types of games, or have you given them up in favor of video games? Or for that matter, did you even play them when you were little or has it always been video games? If you do play board games or card games, what are your favorites?
