A rich cake with several alternating layers of pastry filled with poppy seeds, walnuts, apples and curd and topped with cream.
PRLEŠKA GIBANICA
It is a kind of pie made of leavened dough topped with curd and baked.
POTICA
The leavened dough is usually made from wheat flour and the filling can be of walnuts, hazelnuts, poppy seeds or curd. The dough is rolled out and covered with filling, then rolled up and baked.
BOGRAČ
It is a kind of stew containing cubed beef, game, pork and potato. It is usually served in a cauldron.
JOTA
It is a kind of hot pot made from beans, sauerkraut, diced potato and smoked pork or bacon.
MINEŠTRA
Thick vegetable soup with the addition of pasta or rice. Common ingredients include beans, onions, celery, carrots, and tomatoes. There is no set recipe for minestrone, since it is usually made out of whatever vegetables are in season.

It is a kind of spread made of minced bacon and lard.

They are made of filo pastry filled with a mixture of cottage cheese, sour cream and eggs. They can be baked or cooked and served as a main dish or a side dish.

Potato balls flavoured with bacon, onions and herbs, wrapped in thin dough and cooked.
