Week of: 3/5/18 – 3/9/18 Teacher: Coach Brown Team: fundamentals of Soccer

Monday / Objective:Students will engage in small sided games that will enhance their overall playing ability in recognizing and executing a variety of technical and tactical game plays/situations.
Activities:
-Students will engage in small sided competitive games. The primary focus of this activity is for players to recognize and execute basic technical and tactical game situations.
-Student-athletes will compete in a non-stop, realistic game-situation action. These small sided games will challenge all players to maximize their overall soccer ability: Athleticism (in a form of endurance, speed, agility and strength), technical ability and tactical knowledge and execution throughout the competition.
Materials: Soccer balls, vests, whistle.
Follow Up/HW:
Tuesday / Objective: Students will enhance their overall playing ability and experience through competitive small-sided games with tactical emphasis on defending and attacking as a group.
Activities:
- Students will get split up in teams of four and will participate in a fast-pace/game-realistic small sided games.
- Students will be challenged physically, mentally, technically and tactically throughout the course of the games.
-Students will try their very best at all times.
Materials: Whistle, cones, flags, vests and soccer balls.
Follow Up/HW:
Wed/Thur / Objective: Students will gain deeper understanding of the game rules and positional responsibilities on the field. Students will enhance their overall game awareness on offense as well as on defense.
Activities:
- Students will be split up into two teams of 11 and play a full-field game.
- Students will follow all game rules and game regulations.
-Students will be organized in specific field positions and will execute positional responsibilities accordingly.
-Score will be kept during the course of the game in order for the competition level to remain at high
level.
Materials: Whistle, cones, flags and vests.
