Grammar – Extending Sentences –C

Two sentences can be joined together with a conjunction (joining word) to make a longer sentence (compound).

Use the conjunctions and but or to join the sentences.

For example, I love playing with my friendsbut I hate doing my homework.

1. Henry is my friend ______he is a funny boy.

3. Sam likes going swimming ______she hates getting wet.
