Wee Wisdom October News!
Welcome to fall! Our first month of school is over and the children are all settling into a routine. Drop off times have become easier for both parents and children.
Our parent committee meeting is this Monday October 2nd at 6pm. It is held here in the nursery school classroom. All are welcome to attend; the agenda is posted on the door. We are looking for volunteers to become part of the committee. Please let me know if you can become a parent representative and commit to coming to this meeting and one more in the spring. They are easy positons.
Thank you to everyone who took a star off our wishing board. We really appreciate all donations. Later this month we will be having our annualhoney fundraiser. We get our honey from Cornet Family Farms in Guysborough County. We have had many successful honey fundraisers over the years. Everyone seems to love the products. We are starting the fundraiser this year on October 24th and it will run until November 14th. You will find forms with descriptions in your mailboxes on the 24th. Everything will be back in plenty of time for Christmas gifts.
The Raccoons and Bears are going to Indian Garden farms for a field trip on Wednesday October 4th with the rain date being the following week on Wednesday October 11th. Please dress for the weather and rubber boots are strongly recommended no matter what the weather. We are doing one trip with both groups from 9am until 11:30am and therefore there will be no Buddy Bear class in the afternoon. Any questions please feel free to ask.
We will be having special snacks on October 30th and 31st. Sign-up sheets for snack donations will be by the morning sign in sheet. We will all dress in black, orange and purple these days. NO COSTUMES PLEASE!!!! If you wish to bring treats for your child’s classmates please remember that we must follow nutrition policies here at preschool so no chocolate bars, candy, etc. (the dollar store has alternative treats) but please don’t feel obligated as the children all receive plenty from the special night.
Parents please note that tuitions are due on the 1st of each month and are to be paid before the 14th or a late fee of $15 will be applied.
Picture daysthis fall are the 5th and 6th of October, everyone had a notice in their mailbox. Pictures are taken during class time. Mike Lewis is our photographer and is also known by the students as the Funny Man!!
Our yearly inspection will take place in November and all of the children’s files will be inspected this day, so therefore everything must be completed. If there is any information that I have asked for please return it to me as soon as possible
