Wednesday Community Meal
The community meal on September 27 will be chicken marsala, rice, green beans, salad, and dessert. The Foundation and Council are scheduled for 9/27. Confirmation Students and Parents are scheduled for 10/4. All are welcome!
2018 ELCA Youth Gathering
Houston, we have a gathering! All students starting 8th – 12th grades will be joining with thousands of youth from all over the country in Houston, Texas for this unique and life-changing experience. We have to register by October 15! Tentative dates are June 25 – July 3, 2018. Registration is open – go to our website and the 9-12th grade page and click on the link!
Full Hearts Full Shelves
All middle and high school students and their parents are invited to participate in this great Bloomington Youth event to serve our community. Sunday, October 1 from 6:30 – 8 pm location TBD. We gather with our brothers and sisters from other Bloomington congregations to purchase and deliver groceries to a local food pantry. Sign up by Wednesday, September 27.
Confirmation Retreat
Our fall Confirmation Retreat is scheduled for Friday – Saturday, October 13-14 at Good Earth Village in Spring Valley, Minnesota. All 6th- 8th grade families – please mark your calendars! Registration is due by Sunday, 10/8.

Discipleship Discovery Small Groups
This Fall, 5 small groups will begin meeting to discover more about being a disciple. Each group will explore one aspect of discipleship together for 8 weeks. These groups are intentionally small (capped at 12) to facilitate relationships, but that means that slots could fill up fast! Sign up today in the Commons! Our 5 fall groups are:Faith 5: saying goodnight with God(Thurs. at 6:30pm starting 9/28) led by Dave & Lorie Aljoe and Tina Elder;Here We Stand: exploring our core beliefs and their brave proclamation (Sun. at 5:00pm starting 9/24)led by Pastor Rory Philstrom;Faith in the Neighborhood(Wed. at 6:30pm started 9/20) led by Curtis Griesel and Peggy Indahl; andOption B: facing adversity, building resilience, and finding joy(Wed at 6pm started on 9/20) led by Pastor Kristie Hennig. The Gasterland Book Group will meet one Sunday every month at 10:45am.
