Mike has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting and leads the hospital sector of the Firm’s Health & Human Services practice. Mike has spent his entire career in the healthcare field and oversees the audit and reimbursement work for numerous hospital clients and is the firm leader in the hospital reimbursement area. Mike has been involved in numerous negotiations with third-party payors over issues such as rate setting and reimbursement appeals. In addition, he has coordinated and assisted with public debt offerings including assistance with financing the construction of numerous new hospital facilities. Mike is a frequent presenter at trade associations and industry groups on a wide variety of healthcare topics.

Matt has more than 22 years experience in the health care arena. In addition to his auditing and consulting experience, Matt served over 11 years as Vice President of Finance and Information Services for a community-based health care system in Madison County, Ohio. He has significant expertise in strategic planning, reimbursement and regulatory issues, financial projections and debt financing, revenue cycle, and corporate compliance. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Marietta College and has been a CPA since 1985. He is a member of the American Institute of the Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and is a frequent speaker on various health care topics.

Peggy specializes in legislative and regulatory matters, assisting clients on issues before the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. She has significant expertise working with physicians, hospitals, and patient groups on issues such as Medicare payment systems, direct graduate medical education, nursing education, pay-for-performance initiatives, liability reform, patient safety, and genetic non-discrimination.
Prior to joining Strategic Health Care, Peggy was senior lobbyist for congressional affairs at the American Medical Association (AMA), where she worked for six years. She served as the lead AMA lobbyist for the House Republican leadership, House Energy and Commerce Committee, and some 80 congressional offices, including the majority of physician members in Congress.
Peggy has a bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University and a law degree (J.D.) from Widener University School of Law; serving as editor-in-chief of both her college and law school newspapers. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
