WebAdvisor is the application used to access real time (i.e. up to the minute) information in the Colleague (Datatel) Student Information System used at BergenCommunity Collegeat any time via the Web.

Access to the screens of WebAdvisor is governed by your relationship to the college. For example, only a faculty member can run processes on the faculty menu, andonly students can access options listed on the student menus(except for Search for classes, available to all, even those who do not have a WebAdvisor account.)For all users, access is limited to information specific to the person logging in.

To access WebAdvisor, start from the Bergen home page, and click on WebAdvisor at the bottom of the page (or type go.bergen in your browser address bar).

When the next screen appears, click on Log In. (You must be logged in to see all your menu options!)

(If you do not have a WebAdvisor account, choose option I'm new to WebAdvisor and follow the prompts. Your user name and password will be emailed within a few minutes after completing the signup process. Note that before you can obtain an account, the college must have a current email address on file for you.)

The log in screen appears. Enter your User ID and password.

Then click on FACULTY MENU. The items in the facultymenu appear next.

Search for sections is available to everyone whether one has a WebAdvisor account or not. Options such as My class Schedule, Class rosterand Grading, are limited to Bergen faculty who have a WebAdvisor accountand are assigned to a section. A faculty member may see only his or her own class rosters.

You will be asked to specify the term or date ranges for the course section roster you wish to view. Click on the drop-down list icon and click on the appropriate term. If you do not specify a term, a list of your courses for all terms viewable using WebAdvisor will appear. Click on Submit.

The sections associated with your name will appear next. Choose one by clicking in the "Choose One" column and then click Submit.

The roster for the section you specified will now appear.

You can use your browser's print feature (e.g. in Explorer, click on File→Print) to print this roster with your attached (or Windowsdefault) printer.

If you click on the Student Profile box next to a student's name, WebAdvisor will detail in to another screen with information specific to that person. To view the profile for one student, check the Student Profile box next to that person's information and click Submit. A sample of the Student Profile screen appears below:

To view your class schedule, click on FACULTY MENU, and choose My class schedule. Again, enter the appropriate term when prompted.

Your screen will appear similar to this sample:

As prompted, contact your department if you see discrepancies in the course information you see in WebAdvisor.

Final grades are submitted via WebAdvisor. After logging into WebAdvisor, and choosing the Faculty menu option, click on Grading.

Select the term for the course(s) to be graded.

Then choose a course:

The Final Grading screen will appear.

Note: Registration Services will provide detailed instructions for online grading using WebAdvisor.
