ALBIN

WEB PAGE PROJECT

You will be creating a fictional .com company. The natural progression that takes place after creating the company is to launch your company into cyberspace.

Your fictional company must provide a product or service, and please remember that this is for educational purposes only. Please keep the material clean and viewable to children of all ages. There are absolutely NO LINKS TO ANY COMMERCIAL SITES.

Your Web page should introduce your company, give your slogan/what you stand for. You should tell about your product or service. Give vital info such as the name of company, people in charge, contact info.

Your main page should have links to at least 3 pages that not only show your product or service, but how it appeals to a particular segment of the market. Example: Men’s line, Woman’s line, Baby Apparel. This is where you will advertise and sell your product/service. Other examples may include segmenting ethnicity/age/gender, etc.

Remember that you should treat this as professionally as possible. Many different members of the community, including parent(s), guardian(s), and colleagues of mine will view your site as well.

I didn’t forget you in the mix. You will create at least 1 page for personal use, discussing everything from favorite music to favorite foods or places. Pictures are definitely an overall plus. You must use several pictures, coming from both the clipart area and the Internet. You will also need to create a link to your E-mail address.

You must use various page backgrounds and be sure to make use of changing the background color of the text box.

Breakdown: 1 main page, at least 3 links for company use, and at least 1 page for your personal use.

In addition, you should provide links to other fictional companies of classmates only. This is a good idea, and will improve your overall grade.

Not to worry, we will go over all the steps involved in creating your own E-mail account, as well as your own Web page. Please note that all of the above mentioned is absolutely free of charge.

Go forth and reek havoc.
