This information booklet provides you with details regarding the year 5 camp to Raukawa YMCA Camp Grounds.

Age group / 9-10yrs old

We will be leaving at 8:15am on the first day of term 4 so please ensure your child is at school by 8:00am

Our estimated arrival time on Wednesday 15th October is 3pm

Camp Gear List

Please ensure that all items are clearly labelled!

In your school bag:

  • Morning Tea and Lunch in your lunch box.
  • A drink in a re-useable bottle.
  • Your book bag with pens, pencil, journal writing book and a book to read.

Bedding:

  • Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow
  • Sheet for on the mattress
  • Warm blanket

Main Bag:

  • Rain jacket
  • Appropriate clothing for the duration of the camp for 3 days
  • Appropriate Footwear including watershoes or old shoes and gumboots
  • Changes of underwear
  • Changes of socks
  • Togs
  • 2 towels (one for swimming, one for showering)
  • Warm sweatshirt, jersey, or jacket
  • Warm hat/beanie
  • Plastic bag for dirty washing
  • Sun hat
  • Pyjamas
  • Toiletries
  • Day bag (can use school bag)

Optional:

  • Camera (owners responsibility)
  • Torch

Items to be left at home:

  • Money
  • Lollies/chewing gum
  • Cell phones, Hand held gaming consoles, iPods, mp3 players etc.
