Four -Year Plans in Freshman Careers Classes
During the first week of December, counselors will spend the day in Careers classes speaking to students about graduation requirements, post-secondary options, and college admissions. Each student will complete a four-year plan outlining the courses they intend to take in order to reach their post-secondary goals. Now would be a great time to begin these types of conversations with your ninth grade students if you haven’t already.

College Entrance Statistics
Are you interested in what it took for former Esperanza seniors to get into their colleges? Each spring your counselors gather data from graduating seniors in order to create graphs (Scatter-grams) of student acceptance rates based on GPA and SAT scores. These graphs can be extremely helpful when deciding which colleges are good matches for your student. To see the Scatter-grams from previous graduating classes, visit the counseling portion of our website and click on “College Entrance Scatter-grams.”
