PRESS RELEASE
Immediate release:
Orange Wig Day 2016
We Could Be Heroes, just for one (Orange Wig) Day
Anaphylaxis Campaign will be holding their annual Orange Wig Day on Friday 20th May 2016. We are encouraging our supporters to wear a fun, orange wig for the day to raise awareness and money for the Anaphylaxis Campaign’s work.
Our ultimate aim is that as many people as possible in Britain will wear bright orange wigs during their daily activities; whether that be to work, to school, out for dinner, or to the pub in order to raise money for us. You can raise money by asking friends and family to provide sponsorship for wearing the wig, displaying one of our collection boxes or by texting ‘WIGG01 £5’ to 70070 to donate £5 to the Campaign.
Facebook, Instagram or Tweet your support!
Post your wig photos and selfies onto our Facebook wall (search and like 'Anaphylaxis Campaign' on Facebook), share them on Twitter using #Orangewigday and copy us in @anaphylaxiscoms.
Carey Ledford, Fundraising Manager at the Anaphylaxis Campaign said; “We want people to have a lot of fun, and at the same time raise awareness of the work of the Anaphylaxis Campaign supporting people affected by severe allergies.”
Order your signature AC wig today by emailing or this year why not buy your own orange wig in a different style.
Orange Wig Day is open to everyone and anyone, those with allergies, their friends, family and workplaces but also to schools, companies and health workers. Everyone and anyone can get involved and send us a wacky photo of them wearing their wig. The best photo will also appear in our next edition of ‘Outlook’ magazine.
We look forward to seeing the photos! Visit our website for more information – www.anaphylaxis.org.uk. Text ‘WIGG01 £5’ to 70070 to donate £5 to the Campaign.

Notes for Editors: The Anaphylaxis Campaign is the only UK wide charity to exclusively meet the needs of the growing numbers of people at risk from severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) by providing information and support relating to foods and other triggers such as latex, drugs and insect stings.
Our ultimate aim is to create a safe environment for all people with allergies by educating the food industry, schools, pre-schools, colleges, health professionals and other key audiences. Our focus is on medical facts, food labelling, risk reduction and allergen management.
The Campaign provides tailored services for individual and clinical professional members and also has a corporate membership programme. Visit our website www.anaphylaxis.org.uk.
