We are Learners! We are a unique and special group of individuals who are privileged enough to attend Bay View School of Inquiry!

Be proud of your school, your learning, your hometown, and the beautiful Northwest Region we live in! Celebrate the uniqueness of this special place! It's time to publicize and commemorate the unique and distinctive qualities of a Bay View learner. You've seen the "PEMCO Northwest Profiles", now it's time to create and share a Bay View School of Inquiry Learner Attribute Profile!

Your Task:

In groups of 2-3, create a a unique Learner Attribute character. Then, produce a one minute long profile video explaining your Learner Attribute individual(s). First and foremost, these should be informative. But have some fun with this and feel free to use humorous stereotypes as long as they are kind hearted, politically correct, and appropriate for a K-8 student, staff, and parent audience. They should NOT offend anyone in any way!

Process:

By Thursday, October 16- Declare your group; get approval for your Bay View Learner Attribute

Profile.

By Friday, October 17- Have a detailed storyboard and narrator’s script for your commercial. THIS MUST BE FINISHED AND APPROVED PRIOR TO CREATING YOUR VIDEO!

By Wednesday, April 10th- Have a completed commercial ready to upload to the Edison ASB YouTube page

Requirements:

1)  Professionally shot and edited commercial utilizing at least two advertizing methods

a)  Produced in the style of the "PEMCO Northwest Profiles"

2)  Must be between 30 and 60 seconds in length

3)  Your production must be school appropriate

  1. Nothing depicting dangerous or illegal activities will be accepted for credit, much less shown in class!
  2. All videos will be previewed and it is our discretion as to what will be viewed in class

Things To Consider:

1)  You may film at school using a school camera

i)  There is no requirement to film or gather as a group outside of school

2)  Make sure to plan ahead in order to create a professional product!

3)  If you need help, ASK! We are here to help you create the best product possible!

4) This is a contest! Videos will be voted on by the public and there WILL be a prize for the winning

group!

Make sure you hold sight of the purpose of this assignment, which is to create a commercial utilizing the same methods that the pros do! It is good to be creative, but make sure you follow the attached rubric in order to score well and get the most out of the assignment!

Good Luck!
