We are currently hiring an Intern for MSU Debut 2018!
MSU Debut is a series of events that take place the first three weeks of the fall semester. Built with the intention of integrating first year students to their new community, MSU Debut consists of 15 signature events, including but not limited to: The Welcome BBQ, Convocation, Catapalooza, The M Photo, Gold Rush, and more!
If you are a student who is interested in event planning, programming, public relations, marketing, or loved your MSU Debut experience, consider becoming an MSU Debut Intern!
The internship is designed to give you an opportunity to learn and gain experience in the behind-the-scenes processes involved with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of large-scale events. You will additionally learn and gain experience in outreach, public relations, public speaking, and more.
The MSU Debut internship is not for credit. Undergraduate and graduate students may apply.

Time Commitment:
- July 15th-August 15th, 10-15 hours/week
- August 15th-31st, 20-25 hours/week
- Sept. 1-Sept. 28th, 10 hours/week
Wage: $11/hr.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The MSU Debut Intern will assist with the planning and implementation of the MSU Debut program, under the supervision of the Office of Student Engagement’s Student Engagement and Leadership Advisor. The following duties may be shifted based on the candidate’s skills and interests:
- Serve on MSU Debut Executive Committee
- Marketing and Outreach
- Assist in established marketing methods and help create new avenues for marketing.
- Calendaring of MSU Debut events on MSU calendar
- Working with campus partners (i.e. Orientation, Parent and Family programs, Residence Life)
- Social Media and website management
- Event management from planning to execution.
- Campus-wide volunteer recruitment for Debut events.
- 30 Days of Bozeman assistance.
- Program Evaluation and Assessment
- Assist with budgeting.
- Assist with other duties as assigned throughout MSU Debut.

- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to take initiative
