Waterbug Invite

Dear Swim Team Coach,
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding the Warren County/Justin Creighton Waterbug Invite on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Warren County YMCA. If your swimmer needs SCM times this is the invite to attend. We are the only meter pool in our district.
Traditional invite events will be held as well as the Crescendo relay. The Crescendo relay will consist of one swimmer from each of the following age groups: 8 & under, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, and 13-21.

MEET Saturday, December 2 Meet begins at 9:00 am
SCHEDULE: 1st call to bullpen at 8:50 am
WARM-UPS: Warm-up schedules will be emailed after entries are received.
COACHES There will be a coaches meeting at 8:30 am in Lynnae’s office just off of the pool
MEETING: deck. No deck entries, please!
RULES: USA Swimming Technical rules shall be in effect, with exceptions as designated by the YMCA governing bodies. Scratches will be permitted without penalty. All events will be timed finals.
FACILITY: The Warren County YMCA is a 6-lane, 25 meter pool. Colorado Timing System will be used for times with watch back-up.
ELIGIBILITY: Swimmers must be current members of the YMCA they represent. Swimmers age is as of December 2, 2017. The following age groups will be offered: 6 & under, 8 & under, 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, 21 and under.
ENTRY Swimmers may swim three individual events and two relays or four individual and one relay.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Please email any known changes or scratches by 4:00 pm on Friday, December 1 to
ENTRY FORMS: Please submit your entries on disk using Hy-tek. Entries may be emailed to
SEEDING: Every entry is pre-seeded, with heats where needed.
SCORING: Meet shall be scored as follows:
Individual Events: 20-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
Relay Events: 40-34-32-30-28-26-24-22-18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2
AWARDS: All awards and trophies must be picked up after the meet.
Medals: 1st-3rd Place
Ribbons: 4th-8th Place
Team Trophies: 1st-3rd Place Teams (excluding host team)
ADMISSION: Admission is free to all spectators.
HEAT SHEETS: Heat sheets will be available for $4.00.
FINAL RESULTS: Each team will be emailed a copy of the meet results by Monday, December 4, 2017.
CONCESSIONS: Full concessions will be available, as well as a full complement of swimming related items.
TIMING
ASSIGNMENTS: Teams need to ensure that there are 2 timers at all times on the lanes to which they have been assigned. Please make sure your team’s volunteers report to their assigned timing lane promptly at the designated time. A timer’s meeting will be held on the pool deck at 8:30 am.
OFFICIALS: Each YMCA team is to have at least two officials available. An official’s meeting will be held on the pool deck at 8:30 am.
