Park hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) and 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Daylight Saving Time)
Description of work involved / Work involves minor landscaping and janitorial assistance to the park’s maintenance crew.
Hours volunteers can work / 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Level of difficulty
1=easy
5=physically demanding / Work is considered easy to moderate.
Skills required / No special skills required; basic residential janitorial and landscaping experience preferred.
Shady or full sun area / Work will be completed on the park grounds. Work will be both in the shade and out in the sun.
Access to restroom facilities / Restroom facilities are located close to all working areas.
How many volunteers are needed for this project?
Individuals
Small Group-up to 30
Large Group-over 30 / Individual or a very small group (1-5 people) can work on this project.
How often do volunteers need to work on site? / It can vary from several hours to a few days. Schedules will be based on availability of the volunteer and needs of the park.
Tools and equipment provided / No tools required. Maintenance staff and managers will supply janitorial and landscaping materials and tools as needed. Volunteers will be trained on how to use small engine hand tools and a power washer.
Tools volunteers can bring if desired / No specialty tools required.
Personal items to bring / Volunteers may bring their own meals and snacks if needed. Personal items such as bug repellent, sunscreen, water, sunglasses, and a hat are strongly recommended. Volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes or work boots and long pants.
Personal Protective Equipment will be provided as needed / We will provide personal protective equipment as needed and instruct in proper use.
