Volunteer Recognition and Awards Nomination Form

Guidelines and Information

VIPS annual volunteer awards are designed to recognize the many valuable contributions made by school volunteers in the HoustonIndependentSchool District. School volunteers are broadly defined by the National Association of Partners in Education as, “Those who give assistance to the districts or schools (pre-school—grade 12) and receive no remuneration for their efforts.” The VIPS Recognition Breakfast increases Houston’s awareness of the importance of parental and citizen involvement in public education. These nominations should be filled out with the input from the principal and staff.
