Voluntary Benefit eMail Launch Kit
This document includes a series of emails to promote the voluntary benefits you are offering your employees this open enrollment season.
The templates are designed for you to send to your employees using your corporate email system. With each, there is a subject line and then information to use in the body of the email. You can copy and paste from this document into your email system.
Then, you can quickly and easily customize these temples. Each area where you should insert information is indicated in italics in the documents. In addition, you’ll also want to customize the list of voluntary benefits in the emails to match those you are offering.
It is recommended that you distribute the emails during your open enrollment, especially prior to an information session at your location. A recommended distribution schedule for the emails is as follows, though you can shorten or lengthen the time between sending the emails to meet your needs.

Enhancements to Your Benefits

Dear employees:
Starting with our upcoming open enrollment period from <Date to Date>, you will have more choices and more control over your benefits. That’s because you will be able to add the following voluntary coverage:
•Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment - Provides supplemental coverage for costs associated with covered accidental injury and death.
•Voluntary Short-term Disability Coverage - Provides income replacement for a specified period of time if you should become disabled as the result of sickness or injury.
•Voluntary Long-term Disability Coverage - Provides income replacement for an extended period of time if you should become seriously disabled as the result of sickness or injury.
•Voluntary Life Insurance – Provides a benefit to your named beneficiary in the unfortunate event of your death.
•CancerCare Elite -Provides supplemental coverage when certain losses occur as the result of cancer. Benefits are paid directly to you regardless of other insurance coverage.
•CriticalCare Elite - Provides a lump sum payment upon first diagnosis of a covered critical illness.
•Voluntary Dental Insurance - A comprehensive plan that provides a wide range of benefits to meet a variety of your dental care needs.
