MISSION STATEMENT: “We walk in God’s ways where together we live, love, learn and celebrate”

Prayer

Each day at noon during May, we will be praying the Angelus, the traditional Catholic prayer in celebration of the incarnation of Christ.

The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women,

and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord.Be it done unto me according to thy Word.

Hail Mary…

And the Word was made flesh. And dwelt amongst us.

Hail Mary…

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, your grace into our hearts, that we to whom the incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His resurrection; through the same Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Year 9 Football – County Cup Quarter FinalSt Greg’s 5 - 2 King Alfred’s
The Year 9 boys played their long-awaited fixture against King Alfred’s Sports College last Thursday, in the quarter Finals of the County Cup. With a few players missing the team started brightly and quickly scored a goal through the pace of Denzel Atito. A mazy dribble by Udoka Godwin-Malife set up Atito again for his second. And just before half time, Kyreece Martei out-muscled his defender and scored number 3. In the second half, St Gregory’s continued to dominate but a counter attack secured King Alfred’s a goal. The Saints didn't lose confidence and good work down the right allowed Martei to score his second. With a number of substitutions and players resting themselves King Alfred’s scored again, but Atito was able to complete his hat trick before the final whistle.
Our Year 9 team go on to play Wallingford School in the Semi Final.
Men of the Match were Declan Clerkin and Caelan Isaac.
