Workshop description

Workshop 1:

Open Research Data in Social Sciences and Humanities

Objectives: provide research librarians with basic understanding of the workflow of social science data archiving. A broad aim is to train the institutional librarians from university departments and research institutes to promote social science data archives’ services among clients in their respective institutions. Basics about finding and informed usage of research data will be covered. A more specific and elaborated target of the workshop is to enable research librarians in liaison role and to understand perspective, give support and provide information to researchers who are involved in national or international research projects and are potential data archive depositors. Local librarians will be able to advise where and how to deposit research data and to motivate future depositors to plan and conduct RDM.
Workshop will introduce the Horizon 2020 guidelines and principles on data management and will offer support for its implementation in the future EU projects (Research Data Management Planning).

Workshop 2:

Bibliography of Researchers and validation of research efficiency in social sciences
The workshop is aiming to overview activities of OSICD in evaluating research work using Slovenian Research Agency's methodology. Common activities in the field of evaluation and verification of typologies and frequent problems in creating bibliographic records will be presented. The catalogization process in the case of research data publication will be covered as well.
We invite bibliographers from social sciences libraries, who create records, which have to be verified for the OSICD. Participants are invited to send questions and their suggestions related to the process of creating bibliographical records at the registration:
