Student demonstrates marginal knowledge on the chosen career and is missing or has slighted more than two sections and/or gives very minimal elaboration. / 40-46 points
Student demonstrates some knowledge by addressing most aspects that give background information on the chosen career in the following sections: career description, responsibilities and duties, tips for success, job outlook, salary information, education/skills, top rated schools, and interesting facts. May be missing some of the required areas and/or gives adequate career information. / 47-53 points
Student demonstrates full knowledge by addressing ALL aspects that give detailed background information on the chosen career in the following sections: career description, responsibilities and duties, tips for success, job outlook, salary information, education/skills, top rated schools, and interesting facts. / 54-60 points

Aesthetic Quality

The visual aid is unprofessional in appearance and is not created using technology. Missing visual / 19-22 points
Many but not all aspects of the visual aid are unpolished or not professional (fonts cannot be seen by entire audience, pictures are sloppy, etc) / 23-26 points
The majority of visual is professional and aesthetically pleasing (font, colors, pictures, amount of information, etc.). For the most part, it follows the 5x5 model. / 27-30 points

Presentation Skills

- Speaker occasionally fumbles with visual, may miss one aspect, primarily uses it to enhance presentation
- Good use of voice with variation and minimal verbal fillers
- Good eye contact with audience
- Purposeful nonverbal gestures and none are distracting
- Includes an introduction that addresses the occasion (reason for interest in the career)
- Visual is incorporated into the presentation effectively (is not reading from).
- Great use of voice, w/variation in pitch, no or very minimal verbal fillers.
- Student has strong eye contact with the entire audience.
- Nonverbal gestures are purposeful and enhance the presentation
