  • On your way out, activate a fire alarm call point. These are the red boxes usually found at the final exit doors to buildings. In the larger buildings they are also in staircase enclosures.
  • The fire alarm will sound and an automatic alert sent to the Fire Service.
  • Assembly Point: Make your way to the grassed area in front of the main School building and await instructions from a member of staff or the Fire Service.
  • Inform the person taking the roll that you are present.
  • If you discovered the fire please remain available to brief the Fire Service.
  • Important: Only tackle the fire with an extinguisher if it is safe to do so and you do not put yourself or others at any risk.

If you hear THE fire alarm

  • The fire alarm is a continuous sounding of bells or (in Harvey Hall) sirens.
