Coach/Administrator,
Wesleyan College and the Athletics Department are pleased to make available this Visiting Team Guide. The material provided is to familiarize your team with the various attributes and operational conditions associated with Wesleyan College. The Wesleyan Athletics Department is committed to ensuring a high standard of athletic excellence for all home events so we hope you find the subject matter useful and informative. Please take a few moments to review these documents and share with appropriate personnel. In addition, please remember, game day adjustments may be necessary based on weather conditions, school and national events. Depending on the situation, subsequent changes will be formulated in conjunction with coaching and administrative assessment. Wesleyan provides an indoor playing facility for both Basketball and Volleyball as well as outdoor facilities equipped with lights for Soccer, Softball, Tennis and an Equestrian riding ring. Take Exit 9 for Zebulon Rd
Go East on Zebulon Rd and follow for 3.3 miles
Zebulon will dead-end onto Forsyth Rd (US 41S). Turn Right.
Go to the 2nd traffic light and turn right onto Tucker Rd.

The Athletic Training room will be the first door on your right from the main entrance
Visiting Locker Room can be found inside of the main Women’s Locker Room
* A key to your team room will be provided
Due to the fact that the team room is in the Women’s Locker Room, we ask that visiting male coaches announce their presence as well as send a female in 1st.
Male coaches may use the lower level Locker Room off of the lounge for restrooms and changing.
Porter gymnasium is not handicap accesible

The training room will be available 2 hours prior to competition as well as 30 minutes post competition
Teams Traveling Without a Certified Athletic Trainer
1. Visiting team’s ATC should call the Wesleyan ATC 48 hours before the contest to notify if anyone traveling requires treatment.
2. Teams in need of treatment including taping, moist hot packs and/or ice must arrive at Wesleyan at least an hour and a half prior to game time. The visiting ATC must five the Wesleyan ATC at least 24 hours notice if athletic training needs are required. All other athletic training needs, such as electric stimulation and ultrasound, are the responsibility of the visiting teams prior to arrival. Visiting teams must understand that multiple events occurring at the same time on campus may cause slight issues which need to be discussed by the athletic trainers involved prior to arrival.
3. Superficial modalities shall be used when an institution does not travel with an AT or gives notice of needs
4. Visiting team should provide a fully stocked medical kit
5. All visiting teams must provide their own cups or water bottles for all USA South events, including tournaments.
Wesleyan Training Room Guidelines
1. Please be respectful to any and all staff and students in the training room
2. Athletic clothing only
3. Wear shorts of appropriate length
4. Lower extremity injuries: please wear or bring shorts
5. Upper extremity injuries: please wear a sports bra and a shirt that makes the injury accessible
6. No shoes on the treatment tables
7. No inappropriate conversation and/or language
