SCOTT B. CYPHER, DC IS NAMED

VIRGINIA CHIROPRACTIC ASSOCIATION

CHIROPRACTOR OF THE YEAR

Afton, VA–At the Virginia Chiropractic Association’s (VCA’s) recent fall convention in Roanoke, Virginia, Dr. Scott Cypher of Sterling, Virginia was named VCA Chiropractor of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes doctors of chiropractic who have made significant contributions to the chiropractic profession in Virginia. “I am humbled and honored to receive this award from my peers,” Dr. Cypher states. “It is definitely the high water mark of my career thus far.”

Dr. Cypher was unexpectedly thrust into the Presidency last year after serving as VP and on the VCA Board for just a few months, when the existing president had to step down for a family emergency. Without flinching, Dr. Cypher accepted the challenge and forged full steam ahead. He made consensus building his mission and platform: a mission that has brought the VCA leadership, membership, and other state organizations to a greater sense of mutual understanding and respect.

A 1984 graduate of National Chiropractic College (now the National University of Health Sciences); Dr. Cypher consistently participates in grassroots legislative activities on both the state and national levels. He regularly reaches out to non-chiropractic groups to educate them about the benefits of chiropractic treatment; for example, exhibiting at the recent United States Senate and Congressional Health Fairs. Dr. Cypher also serves on the American Chiropractic Association’s Public Relations Committee and volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America. He lives with his wife and four sons in northern Virginia.

The Virginia Chiropractic Association evolved from the Virginia Chiropractors Association, which was founded in 1925 as a vehicle to unite the profession in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Since that time, the VCA has become the largest and strongest state association and has continued to lead the path for the Chiropractic profession in Virginia.Today, the VCA leads the Chiropractic profession into the 21st century by being an advocate of chiropractic as a distinct profession integrated into the health care system for the benefits of citizens of the Commonwealth.
