PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
DESIGNATION OF MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Motion to designate that the Village of Blasdell Board of Trustees will meet in regular session the 3rd Wednesday of the month. In the months of April, May, September, October, November, December, January, February and March, pre-meeting work-sessions will commence at 5:45 pm and the regular meeting will commence at 7:00 pm; the June, July and August meetings will take place on the third Wednesday of the month with work-session at 4:30 pm and the Regular meeting at 5:30 unless otherwise directed by a resolution of the Board of Trustees.
ASSOCIATION MEETINGS
Motion to adopt the following resolution:
WHEREAS during the official year attendance by certain municipal officials and employees at one or more of the following meetings, conferences or schools benefits the Village of Blasdell:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following officers and employees are authorized to attend the following schools for the 2017 - 2018 official year:
Mayor, Board of Trustees, Village Administrator and Village Attorney
· NYCOM Annual Meeting and Training School
· NYCOM Legislative Meetings
· Regular meetings of the Erie County Officials Association, the Association of Town Governments of Erie County, the Western New York Association of Villages, and the Village Administrative Officer’s Association of Erie County
Village Administrator:
· NYCOM Fall Training for Fiscal Officers and Municipal Clerks
· NYSGFOA Meetings and Annual Conference
NAMING OF THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPERS
Motion to name The Front Page as the official newspapers for the official term of 1 year, ending the first Monday in April 2018. The Sun and The Buffalo News may be used for other publications.
NAMING OF OFFICIAL DEPOSITORY
Motion to name M & T Trust Company as the official depository for the Village funds for the term of 1 year, ending the first Monday in April 2018.
STATUTORY BONDS
Village Administrator & Clerk Treasurer $150,000.00
Deputy Clerk $ 50,000.00
Court Clerk $ 50,000.00
Village Justice $ 50,000.00
DESIGNATION OF MAYOR AND TRUSTEES
Resolved by Mayor Petrie to appoint the following Departmental Board Contacts. This contact will not independently make policy decisions for that department. The Board contact person will not direct the Department Head in day-to-day operations with the exception of the Mayor.
Mayor Petrie - Fire, Personnel
Trustee King – DPW
Trustee Hefner – Court, Police
Trustee Pirowski – ZBA, Beautification, NEST
Trustee Cirocco – Recreation, Planning
ADDENDUM:
Planning Commission will meet only on an as needed basis. Zoning Board will meet only on an as needed basis.
Any Village resident needing assistance to attend the Village Board Meetings, please contact the Village Clerk’s Office 10 days prior to meeting.

Resolved by Mayor Petrie to appoint the following individuals to the following positions:
Kathy Seufert King to the position of Deputy Mayor for the official term of one year, ending the first Monday in April 2018.
Janet L. Plarr to the position of Village Administrator for the official term of one year, ending the first Monday in April 2018.
Barbara D. Sheehan to the position of Deputy Clerk for the official term of one year, ending the first Monday in April 2018.
James M. Shaw to the position of Village Attorney for the official term of one year, ending the first Monday in April 2018.
Joseph Shaw Jr. to the position of Village Prosecutor for the official term of one year, ending the first Monday in April 2018.
Leonard Zaccagnino as Deputy Village Prosecutor for the term of one year, term to expire the first Monday in April 2018.
Jeffrey Baker to the position of Court Clerk for the term of one year, term to expire the first Monday in April 2018.
