Maintain eSMRs

Reviewing electronic Self-Monitoring Reports
1. Open a web browser and proceed to the following URL: http://water31ciwqs.waterboards.ca.gov/
2. Sign in with your CIWQS user ID obtained from the State Waterboard Staff.
3. The Main menu will now appear. If you are having problems logging in, please contact the CIWQS Help Center at (866) 792-4977 for assistance
4. Click on “Submit/Review a Self Monitoring Report (SMR)”
5. On the Self monitoring Report Screen, enter the order number of the facility you would like to view into “related Regulatory Measure Identifier” text box.
6. Your facility should filter out from this list, listing only that place.
7. Click on the order number which corresponds to the facility. If the facility is related to multiple orders, all will be listed here.
8. Set an interval of dates that includes the report you are looking for in the “Show Report Due Between” boxes. You must also check “submitted” in order to display the reports that have been submitted (it is advised that you uncheck the other criteria in order to prevent confusion). When you have set these requirements, press “refresh list”. Click on the date that corresponds to the report that you are maintaining.
Viewing Submitted SMR Data Electronically
1. Click on the date corresponding to the SMR that you want to view
2. Click on the “Data Summary” tab.
3. Highlight all of the data and copy it.
4. Open up Excel, and under “edit”, click “paste special”
5. Select “Unicode text” on the dialog box that pops up.
Printing Electronic SMR Data
1. In CIWQS, repeat steps 1 through 8 on “Reviewing Electronic Self Monitoring Reports”
2. Select “Download Report” to the corresponding report from which you wish to obtain the data.
3. A download pop up box will display, use a program that views PDF files in order to view it. Print out the pdf file using Adobe Reader or any other program that is capable of reading “pdf” files.
